Sink Repairs

Repairs are not optional.  In order to guarantee our work, all damage (rust, chips, nicks, holes, staining, discoloration, etc.) found on a sink's surface must be repaired prior to refinishing the sink. Cost for repairs are never more than $150, unless there is extreme damage involved.

Please note that porcelain sinks typically rust from the back side inward, especially at the overflow holes.  If you see rust on the inside of a sink in that area, it's actually coming from the steel or cast iron surface beneath the porcelain surface.  Although the rust can be repaired, we cannot guarantee it won't reappear at some later date.

Bathroom Sinks

If your bathroom sink is a non-standard size, or is undermounted in tile or granite, we can refinish it so you don't have to tear up the countertop trying to replace it.  Before we arrive to refinish, however, all hardware (handles, spout, and silver drain cover) touching the sink must be removed, and can be re-installed a couple of days after refinishing.

Our pricing is based on a white or off-white finish, but if you want a special color, you can choose from our solid color finishes, and we will special order ($75) the refinishing coating in that color.  We do not refinish in dark colors because even in the semi-sterile environment we try to create, there are still minute dust particles that float through the air that can and will be seen on a dark surface.  Bathroom sink prices start at $375.

Cultured Marble Bathroom Countertops and Sinks

If your bathroom sink is made of cultured marble, then the countertop is, too.  It's one big piece of molded material.  To get a ballpark figure of the cost to refinish a cultured marble countertop and sink in a MultiSpec finish, multiply the square footage by $50, then add $75 per sink.

Kitchen Sinks

Please note we only refinish alcove-style kitchen sinks (those butted up against a wall and not open to another room).  The reason we do not refinish kitchen sinks that are set in an island overlooking another room is because one of the most important things in refinishing is to protect - from overspray - everything not being refinished, which is nearly impossible to do when a kitchen sink is wide open to another room.

If yours is an alcove sink, it can be refinished, but all hardware (handles, spout, and silver drain cover) touching the sink must be removed before we arrive to refinish, and can be re-installed a couple of days after refinishing.

Like our bathroom sink pricing, our kitchen sink pricing is also based on a white or off-white finish, but if you want a special color, you can choose from our solid color finishes, and we will special order ($75) the refinishing coating in that color.  We do not refinish in dark colors because even in the semi-sterile environment we try to create, there are still minute dust particles that float through the air that can and will be seen on a dark surface.  Kitchen sink prices start at $475.

Kitchen Countertops

Please note we only refinish kitchen countertops that are not open to another room.  That's because one of the most important things in refinishing is to protect - from overspray - everything not being refinished, which is nearly impossible to do when a kitchen countertop opens out into an adjoining room, particularly one with a ceiling over 8 feet high.

However, if your kitchen is "self-contained" and not the "open-concept" type - and this will mostly be in older homes - then we can safely protect everything from overspray.  Although we can paper-out around the sink and stove, it is recommended they be removed if at all possible (this is not a service we offer).

The Turnkey Service Option

Part of our preparation before refinishing includes (1) protecting the bathroom or kitchen from overspray by putting paper and plastic on the walls and floor, and (2) cleaning, trimming back, and/or removing the caulk line around the sink or countertop.

Turnkey Service OptionIf you choose the optional Turnkey Service, we will return the day after refinishing to (1) remove the protective paper from the walls and floor, and (2) re-caulk around the sink or countertop.  We'll need to know if you will require this additional service at time of scheduling, as it requires an extra day in our schedule.  The Turnkey Service is $125.

NOTE:  If you are opting out of the Turnkey Service, please wait a full 24 hours after refinishing before entering the bathroom or kitchen area to carefully perform the steps mentioned in the Turnkey Service.  This will help keep a semi-sterile, still environment in place.  Entering the room any earlier will stir up the air and may cause lint or other minute particles of debris to fall and get caught on the refinished surface while it is still wet.  We cannot be responsible for this.  Also, please do not wear tools or a belt buckle around your waist when doing this work.
